The probability of success was never high, but after he made it through the surgery... :( I'm so sad.

They wanted to try - it all looked good until the laminitis developed, I think.

=( Me too. He was doing so well! He still beat the odds in a way, to have done so well up until that point. It really goes to show how much technology has improved - horses that got that kind of injury would've been put down on the spot 20 years ago - now at least, they have a fighting chance of making it.
