I hate my given name. "Boring, plain, old humdrum 'Christine'" is at least easy to pronounce and I doubt ever butchered! Even written, what's the worst they could do? Spell it with a K? It even sounds nice, to boot!

Seriously, people call me everything under the sun! Jessica, Jen-ee-see-uh, jAn-eese-uh, Janice, Jan-eece, Vanessa *cringes*, Jennifer, ...Jenny. *cringes even more* Not to mention how horrendous the sound of "nessa" is. - Which is another name people call me, and that is family only. I can only deal with so much! <.<

And let's not even get into the spelling of it! It's one thing to call it verbally that way, because apparently people can't read, but to actually address things to "Jennifer" or "Vanessa" or "Jessica?" Who are they?! I even got Jaqueline once, and Greg Abbott's (Texas' Attorney General) campaign/entity thing still thinks my name is Janus. *grumble grumble*
