It's not uncommon for customers to ask for my direct extention at work because I'm nice and take care of them well. When they ask, it's like a compliment.

Well, I got a really bad compliment today.

I had to process the roll-out (which means moving money in a retirement account housed by us to another financial custodian) of an account with some $20,000! (REALLY bad for my stats.) The customer had his broker on the line with him, and the broker was well acquainted with Fidelity's procedures.

The broker liked me. Because I didn't buck him or hassle the customer about staying with Fidelity. He asked for my direct extention.

Do you know what that means? This guy is possibly gonna be calling me for all his 401(k) Fidelity roll-outs. It's gonna mess up my stats and therefore possibly my bonuses each quarter!! ;_;
