New Layout!

It's finally finished! :D 

Maybe I should have waited a little while longer til we got to the Fourth, but...

I randomly had a stroke of inspiration sometime around 1 am this morning, and stayed up until 4 making/editing the header and background images. For today, there was the matter of choosing the colors, which... I'd really like it if this layout had some green grass in it, though I intend to eventually make this a FO journal just as soon as I finish revamping my fic index. Which I'm going to get on as soon as I finish this post. Said FO banner will be one of the pics with Minni playing soccer, which does indeed have some very nice green grass. ;)

Despite its totally American feel, all y'all non-American buddies are of course certainly not to feel unwanted! ;P

Incidentally, if anyone has an idea for the Archives and Info links, I'm open to suggestions. My original thoughts were either dull or too long.  lol

So... What do y'all think? My first layout where I did everything all by my lonesome! I'm quite pleased with it! :D

Not-so-nice catch!

Ugh!! I know I just posted, but my left foot SERIOUSLY has the worst luck this weekend! I just managed to catch frozen glass with my toes and cut the bottom of my foot! As in catch. Not step on. I caught flying debris with my toes on accident and got cut!

I think I deserve a Tonks award.

Just yesterday, I gave myself a rather large nick on my middle toe when I was shaving. (Yeah... Toe hair... which needs to be manicured often. Uh... Hobbits may actually be related to West Indians: not too tall and hairy. XD) I'm normally so careful, this being only my second ever cut caused by a razor, but when ya' gotta sneeze.....

Just a few minutes ago, my mom requested I make her some coffee. - Decaf because it helps her sleep. - So I went in the freezer to grab the blend, and then Ter needed ice... And the frozen glass of ice cream my brother had put in on the very edge of the shelf (WHY I don't know) tumbled down and shattered. I jumped backwards, recoiling.

This usually has the effect of me leaving any incident unscathed.

Well, in the process of recoiling, I bent my toes and managed to catch two large shards of the frozen glass. Which I quickly dropped, but not before getting cut.

The multiple cuts (only about 4 I've counted thus far) bled copiously, but they don't hurt, and best of all, there was no glass caught in any of them. 

I wasn't gonna drink any of that coffee because it doesn't sit well at night for me ("Grab the Maalox, STAT!"), but I'm sooooo drinking some now! I think I deserve it. ;_;
