Nationwide Visa Alert
Jul. 18th, 2009 11:17 amWe got held up until 10:00 leaving as we had to wait for the bank to open in order to find out why my parents' cards were deactivated.
There was a break-in at Visa at the national level; you might want to check your bank to see if you've been affected if you have a Visa Card.
According to my parent's bank, cards have been deactivated nationwide for people who signed up for the fraud protection feature.
ETA: I still can't find any articles on this, which I find to be the oddest thing about this story. The bank was brimming with worried customers as the phones were all busy, so I can't imagine they'd misrepresent what happend to all those people. But still, despite that it's a Saturday, I'd still expect at least the AP or Reuters to have picked something up by now if it really is so widespread.
In any case, my form of entertainment for the past hour has run dry. Lol We still have 3 hours left. *sigh*
Am I the only person who calls this song the Gatorade song? ^^
