9.12 DC March
Sep. 12th, 2009 02:29 pmChecked out C-SPAN lately?
Have you SEEN those THOUSANDS in DC? XD
They're not Astroturf - they weren't hired by SEIU via Craigslist. They're real Americans of all political spectrums from accross the nation. From California to Maine, from Alaska to Texas. Every. State. Is represented! Travel expenses paid by THEMSELVES. There were no ACORN busses.
This is real grassroots, and they are not a mob. Standing around, holdong signs, cheering "USA!" and demanding the attention of Congress is not the definition an angry irrational mob.
But I anticipate the regular round of derrogatory sex jokes and complete dismissal of the left and leftist media.
That's okay, though.
Because our movement is growing everyday. Regular Americans who are simply tired of the ridiculous my party vs your party games. The nation wants change, but not the government enforced brand as being repackaged and sold from Washington.
That's what this is about. It's not about Obama. - For some people, yes. But they're gathered in front of Congress, not the White House for a reason.
I wish I could have gone to the 9.12 Tea Party in Fort Worth today. 5,000 have already assembled, and they're expecting 10,000 by the end. In the pouring rain.
They can't ignore us forever.
