Day 04 - Favorite Book

fantastic_jackieLJ was down this morning when I was leaving for work... and I only just got home after mandatory overtime. Boo.
BUT we did have a tornado watch and flash flooding today! :D The giant windows were nice to watch all day... Texan weather: I love it.

There are many, many books that I adore. That being said...
It's a dead heat between The Order of the Phoenix and The Half Blood Prince.
That's right. No Deathly Hallows in the picture. <.< And no! It's not just because she killed my favorite characters! Something like 75% of that book took place in the forest: Really? We waited ALL THAT TIME for adventures with Harry in the forest?? And when the time came, all the Order could do was a lame radio broadcast?!
And SERIOUSLY! Tonks gets pregnant at the very beginning, eliminating any reason for her to be an auror because: dun dun DUN! She's a mommy now. *fumes* I was HOPING for epic Tonks battles! With Remus who-is-definitely-not-a-coward and the Order! And Dumbledore... Dumbledore...! He was just a manipulative old geezer the whole time?! ARGH!
...Obviously, years later it STILL infuriates me. That's because the first six really were incredible. ;)
Why, oh why couldn't JKR just be decent like Rick Riordan and end the series SPECTACULARLY? *weeps in a corner* Everyone likes cliches!! That's why they're cliche!
