Minni vs Squirrel: Tiny Titans

And now, for something lighthearted, amusing, and super cute. ^^

You see, since early fall, a battle of epic proportions has been building on the horizon of our backyard... And today, oh today it went down!

Ladies and Gentlemen! I bring you...

Tiny Titans!

The two tiny titans had been locked in glorious combat for the past ten minutes. Neither had budged, one for her steadfast determination and dedication to render justice for puppies everywhere; the other, for fear of his furry life! Finally, it had come down to this: Nemesis vs Nemesis, One on One, Minni vs Squirrel! Of course, certain stereotypes transcend even species lines. At last, with Squirrel trapped in the tree and Minni trapped by her convictions, the two enemies commenced aggressive negotiations: Here, in this picture, they monologue! (Aka, bark at each other!)

The Mighty Squirrel This "little" dude, who bulked up to the size of a small skunk in the fall, has defied the dogs on our street all winter long! Quite the tiny daredevil, he hid his nuts in our backyards, because one tree apparently wasn't enough for his sheer epicness, and our puppies collectively attempt to thwart his efforts to reclaim his munchies on a daily basis. There's been quite a lot of bonding this winter. In the summer, our dogs were enemies, always on each others' nerves. Now, they're comrades, part of an elite squirrel-hunting team!/td>

The Mighty CUTE Squirrel He may be my pup's arch nemesis, but he IS super cute!! This is his escape, by the way. Minni was distracted by her people taking this picture, which gave Squirrel the opportunity he needed! So he lived to fight another day! Which will, of course, be tomorrow. ;)
