Happy Wiiiiiiiiiind's-Day!

Yeah, so I'm totally thinking that Winnie the Pooh and Halo should seriously not mix! XD Ya' know, I love the original version, but that's it. Gimme a couple SMGs, some plasma grenades, maybe a moose cannon (aka shotgun), and I'll have a blast in the Hundred Acre Woods.... *laughs maniacaly* In fact, all of Disney's sequels should gather there. Mwa!

Annnnnnnyway, now that I'm finished being demonic, it is SUPER windy here! And yes, I know it's Tuesday. But we're losing power off and on because of the wind and GASP the internet!! I have to copy and paste everything onto word to be sure I won't lose it. Ace is not plugged in at the moment. Though we have plenty of surge protectors, I've never really trusted them on important items, such as game systems. I'd rather wait than risk it.

Good thing I charge him nightly. =D

O_O Oops... There go someone's trash barrels. *peeks out window* Wow. The metal kind. With trash in it. O_= That's a mess I am glad I don't have to clean up. But someone had better.

ETA: HOLY COW!! 5 minutes after I made this post, the power went out and only just now came back on. During that time, I had to take a shower, and nice and toasty was it. (Yay water heaters!) However, I had to leave the door open so I could have some light by which to make out at least vague shadows. Well, whoever was the brilliant mind behind designing our house, they put a smoke alarm right outside the bathroom. Aha. They went off.

For 15 straight minutes, with no power, they went off!

I started disconnecting them from their batteries at that point, as we'd already had the windows open for a while. And then it was quiet for just a second.

And then the power came back on and they were blaring again in earnest!

So I ripped them all off. >.> Disconnected the wires, ripped them out of the sockets, everything! And they are NOT going back on until I get home tonight. Those things terrify our pets and hurt their little ears! ;_;

Dude, it's like a frigging hurricane out!

No kidding!! Sustained 40 mph winds and up to 60 mph gusts is what they said on the radio! And driving down 820 - or rather up - there was a ton of smoke from some not too distant grass fire.

Yeah it amazes me how Disney manages to spectacularly ruin a good thing... Most of the sequels they make aren't even WORTHY to be called sequels! Grrrrr!

[identity profile] patriot-jackie.livejournal.com 2008-01-30 01:18 am (UTC)(link)
Like seriously! It's like they write them for 4 year olds and forget about the rest of the UNIVERSAL audience! The only good sequel I can think of is Toy Story 2.

The cartoon spinoffs are even worse!

When I was living on my own, the fire alarm outside my bathroom did THE EXACT SAME THING~!

I smashed mine with a hammer though. Ripping it off did not make it stop.

O.O Smashed with a... XDXDXDXD

What planets are they from, honestly?! Before living here, our house had one in the kitchen! THAT was ridiculous! Any time we burned anything it would go off for 5 minutes!
