That's a wrap

So from Friday night through Saturday morning? I totally felt, like, an influx of maturity all of a sudden. It was like midnight struck and BAM! I'm older and wiser. XP
The birthday was......... Well, it was. We still didn't go to IMAX; no one else thought it was important, I guess, so it seems that the birthday celebration was namely wrapped up in the six hours of shopping on Friday. It's what Terri wanted to do, so I went along; at least one of us got to do what we wanted. :)
Of course, there were all the birthday wishes and cards, so that really made the day better. :) We drove through Dallas for a bit, since we never go there. (It's a very dirty, run down city.) We saw where President Kennedy was shot. Somehow, I just don't think the memorial we have for what happened there is enough. It's... like the Alamo, I guess. But that's a different topic entirely. ;)
Anyway. The four of us siblings then went out for dinner together at Olive Garden. At which point, my brother had the brilliant idea that we needed to role play to pass the time until our meals arrived! I think it would cause more trouble than it's worth to bring up who/what the fictional characters were, (never let it be said that our family cares anything for PC or racial divides), but suffice it to say that we were far from quiet and very giggly. ^^
The night wrapped up with a short visit to B&N, and then finally the highlight: Ali called! :D Which though I spent a lot of time meandering in the conversation down less-than-jubilant subjects, it really made my whole day. ^_^ And I totally love how she forbid me to have any allergies for the day. XD
So the end. No pressies, but I really didn't want anything. :) Very rarely do I ever. Really, the only thing that is changing as a result of this birthday is that I decided at 18 when I turned 22, I would start calling all adults who are not in the elderly catagory by their first names. It's gonna be a difficult habit to break, but it's gotta happen some time, right? ;)
