I think I have to count it as my favorite series period. I love love love Stargate SG:1 and Star Trek, but nothing tops Gundam Wing.

It is highly intelligent; who makes a show of characters embodying various ideals while demonstrating the necessity and futility of wars and human lives lost in them?? Yet again, I am SO GRATEFUL that the Japanese take animation so seriously! lol

Ohhh, I'm an OZ fanatic. XD I LOVE Zechs and Noin. Obviously. But I also LOVE Treize and Lady Une. :D

Of the Wing Boys, I'm a Heero girl. - Isn't Relena a creepy stalker chick to begin with, though? I absolutely love how she develops, but seriously Relena: You followed him even to another school?? And then to ANTARCTICA in the literal MIDDLE of a MS battle?! You crazy, chica!

Wait... Wait... You have to keep in mind that Heero had stalkerish tendencies too. When Relena finally left him alone, HE became the stalker. He just couldn't get enough of her! They totally deserve one another. ^___^

Hmmm favorite pairings? I'm a sucker for 2xH (always wanting his steak and never getting it ^__^) and I love 11x13 (I think that's Trieze and Lady Une). I like just about all of the pairings but I'll admit that 5xS and 4xD had to grow on me.

I always saw Wufei and Sally getting together once Wufei matured a bit more because the idea of him and Sally being together at the end of EW just didn't click... Plus, I can just see them being the absolute last couple getting together because of them both being stubborn and prideful (not wanting to admit they like each other, etc, etc).

As for Quatre and Dorothy, come on! Who ELSE are they going to be with? They basically shared a mind not to mention a very traumatic experience! Quatre even practically begged Trowa to save Dorothy instead of him! I know it's hard to argue the case for these two couples but who else did Wufei or Quatre show an interest in?

And 5xM would have been awesome if she hadn't died. There was so much untapped potential between Wufei and Meiran! As for Trowa, I hated the idea that he didn't get anyone. He should have gotten Catherine but no... Creators killed that dream by making them siblings... And what happened to Middie Une? She appears in one manga and then never appears again! That's hardly anything to work on!

Okay I can go on about this show for days so I'll shut up now. Go Gundam Wing!!!!!

Agreed on all counts except for the last about Midii Une. I'm a fan of her; she was forced into a really bad situation - the implication of her family's lives being threatened. As a 10-year-old, what was she supposed to do? True, she ripped Trowa's heart out at the time, but she also set him on the path to becoming the Gundam Pilot we all know and love. I think, looking back on it, Trowa would be able to forgive her for it if they ever met again.

Ohhh man. I just remembered a piece of one of my favorite TrowaxMidii stories! Must...go...find...that fic!!

I want to run a marathon now!

Srsly? We should marathon together! It would make it that much more amazing!

Here's a link to the author instead: Midii Une (http://www.fanfiction.net/u/8412/Midii_Une). The particular story I was remembering is entitled Alone/Together. However, (<--GW's favorite word... lol) she's an excellent author, so any of her stuff is pretty good.

I'm re-reading it now, and it definitely has some flaws, but overall, I think it's a pretty good in character interpretation of a "What if" scenario. Also, I think it may have a lemon in it...? I'd never remember since I always skip those parts, so beware. ;)

I'm actually on episode 33 at the moment, though I don't mind starting over. ;D Maybe I should just start with an open post for folks to join up? We could do daily episodes - 1 or 2 a day with discussions afterwards would probably be good, ya' think? Or more?? They're hard to stop... lol

ETA: Aww... Don't you hate it when fics turn out to be better as vague memories?? Her other fics are definitely better than the one I mentioned... lol

Yus. Treize and Lady Une FTW!

I've always been a fan of QxD and WxS. I used to be a much bigger fan than I am now, but I do think they are cute. Duo and Hilde I love; they're the only two who are NORMAL! lol

I have my own theroies on Midii Une... I think, judging by her successful role as a 10-yr-old, that she survived the war. And after the war, there are only so many places a person with her talents can end up........ Trowa x Midii is totally possible in my opinion.

Although, one of the more interesting pairings that I like is Trowa x Lady Une. It's strange, but then it actually works - especially after Treize is gone. Wouldn't it be interesting to find out that Midii and Lady Une were actually related? Truthfully though, I hope they never do that. It would be too odd.
