I'm So Sad...

After everything she went through, I was really cheering for Elizabeth Edwards. I'm so sad that she wasn't able to overcome the cancer.
It never concerned me that she was very much a democrat or how very silly her husband was. I never even paid any mind to what she believed politically, though I know there were some things she said I heartily disagreed with. What I admired about her was how she carried herself with grace in the midst of such adversity and betrayal in the middle of a swarming media storm...
And I had been cheering for her. After it was discovered that her worthless man-whore of a husband not only had an affair but fathered a child, I had been hoping that she would win the fight, maybe even so well that she could become a valid and respectable, formidable political opponent. The ultimate victory over her disease and her husband: A champion for women and democrats who everyone would respect.
Not that she wasn't that already, but it would have been great if she could have miraculously beaten it. :(
Rest in peace, Mrs. Edwards. I hope she's with her son, now.
