Jack-Jack's List1. Stargate SG-1 - Colonel/Major General Johnathan "Jack" O'Neill (Guessed first by
morrighangw)
Where do you start with
Jack? Seriously, he's probably one of my first favorite characters ever. There's such
ANGST with Jack - starting with the loss of his son, Charlie, to an accident in which Charlie killed himself with Jack's gun, so he became boarderline suicidal and quit the military. His wife left him. Then he was chosen for the Stargate program, but the program was shut down, so he lost everything again. Then it was opened again, but this time, he fell in love with the only woman on the planet he couldn't have due to regulations: his 2IC, Samantha Carter. And then she gets
engaged to someone else, and... UGH! It's STILL officially unresolved! 10 years later!!! (Subtly, maybe, but that's not enough!!)
But despite all that, Jack is extremely lighthearted and optimistic! He's realistic, a bull-headed
complete military guy, lethal to the Nth degree, loyal to a terrible fault, and absolutely
hilarious! Which is due in no small part to Richard Dean Anderson himself. And Jack O'Neill isn't hot. Ohhhhh no. He's just downright
sexy! @.@ The silver hair that sticks up everywhere? Fingers ITCH!
2. 24 - Jack Bauer (Guessed first by
morrighangw)
Dude. It's Jack. Jack can do ANYTHING
and get away with it! He's so passionate about serving the US, dedicating his life to the country even when the country had betrayed him! And sure, I may fault him for the Audrey thing, but he
did get to torture her after all, so I can dig the ship. Of course, he had to go and do the whole noble thing... But I think the best and simultaneously worst thing about Jack is that even though he's done SO MUCH for the country, he will
never be recognized or rewarded for it outside of simple thank yous due to the nature of his job and who he is. And yet, he doesn't care. True patriot. :)
3. Gundam Wing - Zechs Merquise/Milliardo Peacecraft (Guessed first by
morrighangw)
I prefer Zechs - mostly because Noin never calls him Milliardo. XP Another ANGST fest and he's so misunderstood! At the age of six, his kingdom was destroyed, parents murdered before his eyes, and he escaped with his sister, pledging himself to one day take revenge. He would protect his sister from the horrors of his chosen path, directly in opposition to everything his father stood and died for: the ideal of pacifism. After years of training, he absolutely loathes himself. Upon achieving his revenge, he's left unsure of how to proceed... Pacifism doesn't work for him or to quell the rift between the Colonies and Earth, so he becomes the devil himself and sets out to destroy the Earth, mind twisted and tortured by Epyon's Zero System and his own hatred of himself.
I STILL insist that Zechs was never evil! Exactly like Noin said, he intended to attone for the sins of the world himself by doing something so absolutely terrible that no one would ever want to fight again. He may have been wrong about how he was approaching it, but he wasnt evil! EVER!
4. Bleach - Kisuke Urahara (Guessed by
terriayame)
So little is known about Urahara; really, I don't have a clue why I like him so much, but I do. I lurves him!! Mostly acting like he's clueless on the surface, always joking and never serious, you never expect him to
become serious. And then he's deadly serious in more ways than one as one of the former Captains of Soul Society, banished for his research. And you thought Ichigo was powerful? Urahara is just awesome.
5. Star Trek: The Next Generation - Captain Jean Luc Picard (Guessed first by
morrighangw)
What CAN you say about Captain Picard?? Or Patrick Stewart for that matter? I mean... charisma doesn't cover the half of it! And what man his age still retains an air of attractiveness? And ya' just.... ya' gotta love the voice. And the accent. =D "Tea. Earl Grey. Hot." XD Oh, and him vs Q? No better entertainment than to watch their exchanges!
6. Ghost Whisperer - Melinda Gordon (Guessed by
terriayame)
Seriously? Bravest fictional woman EVER! @.@ She sees dead people! She goes to see them in dark, spooky places; I'm just
watching and my heart is pounding! And she solves their problems with people who are still living - people who are never willing to work with her and shut her out!
And yet, she's so feminine. She's this super brave heroine, but she's never more than an average woman - with an extreme amount of empathy, luck, and oh, she can see dead people. ^^ She gets scared and cries and gets into terrible situations she shouldn't survive from which she has to be rescued from by her hubby! =D Oh, and I love the way she dresses, like Terri says. ^_^ - On most accounts.
7. Stargate Atlantis - Lt. Colonel Samantha Carter or Rodney McKay -
NEVER an
and!!!!! (Guessed by
terriayame)
Picking Sam as my favorite is kind of cheating since she just joined the show this season... Still, Sam is just incrediblely brilliant, and she finally has her own command! True, I'd prefer to see her under O'Neill's command just so that SG-1 was still going, but...
For my non-cheating pick, McKay is hilarious. The historic flirting between him and Carter is
hilarious because.... XD Ahh, you've gotta see it. There's nothing there, and yet, they act like there is... - Or at least McKay doe. And that translates to everything on the show. He's so knowledgable, but he's cocky and arrogant and a real smart-alec. He's a riot to watch. XD
8. Teen Titans - Raven & Cyborg (Guessed by
xxdesert_roseand
terriayame)
Raven -
AZARATH METRION ZINTHOS!!! And she's emo: deadpanning sarcastic humor = hilarious.
Cyborg - He's truly happy when he's A) playing video games and winning against Beastboy, B) working on his car, or C) stuffing his face. XD
9. Gundam Seed - Athrun Zala (Guessed first by
xxdesert_rose)
Athrun TOTALLY got the raw end of the deal! His father goes stark-raving mad, and he's caught in the middle. An ace MS pilot, he ends up being pitted against Kira. And then he kills Kira's friend and Kira kills his, so he beats down and kills Kira, and is so!!! so!!! sad! - only Kira's not dead! Lacus saves him! Speaking of whom, Athrun's all devoted to Lacus and their pre-arranged marriage, but then she chooses Kira?! >.> So not right!
Lacus didn't deserve him. Awesome as her character is, she sucks for that. >.>
BUT!! A new ship was born: Athrun and Cagalli! *SQUEE!* Bringing tidings of great joy! And he even gets to have a mobile suit battle with her
in his lap. How hardcore squee-awesome is that? XD
10. X-Files (Pre-Season 7) - Agent Fox Mulder (Guessed by
terriayame)
I've always thought, since learning Mulder's first name, that Fox was a really cool name. Not that I'd ever name any kid of mine that, but still. It's hard for me to really think about the show now because it was so disappointing; I loved Mulder's character because he believed everything, yet he still questioned and neve gave up despite being shut down and losing everything he'd thought he'd gained again and again and again and again. He had such devotion to his sister - was so convinced that she was abducted by aliens. What a disappointment that was: it was hard not to hate the show after that. :(
Dude... That got really hard after 6... Does my Sci-Fi addiction show? XD
