A Fantastic Little Corner

Not short at all like my other ones, but this is just too cool and funny to pass up.

Ever wonder why there are differences in spelling between US and UK English? Well, I didn’t learn the why yet, (aside from being different countries, of course), but I did discover an episode in 1906 involving Theodore Roosevelt and an organization called the Simplified Spelling Board.

On page 16 of H.R. 3200 in Section 102, the bill states:
"the individual health insurance issuer offering such coverage does not enroll any individual in such coverage if the first effective date of coverage is on or after the first day" [after the bill becomes law].

This means that if you want to change your healthcare, expand it, or switch providers, after this bill is passed, that will be illegal.

You will be forced into the overcrowded, ever expanding Public "Option," and millions in the insurance industry will lose their businesses and jobs.
