Title: The Simple Truth
Author: [info]patriot_jackie
Rating & Warnings: PG - None
Genre: Angst/Romance
Prompt: "And in my hour of darkness//She is standing right in front of me//Speaking words of wisdom, let it be." -- Let It Be
Word Count: 3072 Words 4086 Words
Summary: After Dumbledore’s death, to continue on for the hope of a better future, Remus must confront his doubts and fears for the present. The only person who can make him see is the woman he’s been pushing away. The post-hospital scene of HBP.
AN:  Long ago written originally in the[info]metamorfic_moon Beatles and the Bard Timeless Moon Ball, (them mods should totally get an award for the longest challenge titles EVA! yes?), this fic was written with the express purpose to be canon, leaving room for why Remus leaves Tonks again in DH even though he was seemingly convinced at the end of HBP. I thought it was difficult the first time ‘round, but that was nothing compared to the revisions, which will mostly be noticeable to anyone interested only at the end as I made a lot of minor changes, as well. And while I’d say that this still doesn’t quite hit the difficulty of my hardest ever written, I’d say it’s a very close second!
Thanks: I’d like to thank again everyone who reviewed the original version of this over at Meta. Y’all have no idea how helpful you really were when the time came to actually put into words what I was really thinking here. You guys rock my socks!

Lastly, the original version of this won a spiffy award, which pretty much floored me considering how truly incomplete (in my mind, at least) this thing was before:

And now, I will shut up so you can read said revised ficcy! :)

Title: Friendly Shoves and Little Nudges
Author: [profile] patriot_jackie
Rating & Warnings: G/None
Word Count: 1,462 Words
Genre: Humor with mention of Romance
Summary: In yet another argument, Sirius attempts to convince Remus to do something about his feelings for Tonks. And yet again, it seems as though Remus will sucessfully deflect the issue. - Except that this time, Sirius has concocted a devious scheme that might actually be successful.
Author’s Notes: Well, [personal profile] mrstater picked the one that was more-or-less finished for the fanfiction meme. - Correction, the first chapter is finished. I'm still debating on leaving it at the two or going on for a third and final; I suppose I'll know later on this week.
Written originally for a [profile] metamorfic_moon challenge, I went with another story at the time because this one took too much beginning story to even reach the prompt - thus it has been re-thought without said prompt.

I’ve always loved Nearly Headless Nick and have always had a fascination with the Headless Horseman. So I was totally psyched to pit them against each other!!
This is AU, Halloween 2009, A New Happiness ficverse, which is really only important so far as Teddy’s character and the ending line, as it turned out. I would suggest reading it first, but this can be understood on its own.
I tried a new style of writing in this; it may or may not work. It’s meant to be “seamless” in that I didn’t want to put asterisks or dashes to separate things because it causes you to pause. I wanted the story to jump suddenly from person to person, my purpose being to keep the pace quick while adding a bit of suspense. However, this may just confuse you. So any critiques and comments on the style will be greatly appreciated! :)
