I protest! How many of y'all non-Texans know your state small mammal, large mammal, or state dish? Most people don't even know their state flower! I think I deserve the True Lone Star Texan title! <.<

Total ditto. State *pepper*? What on earth?? And a large mammal, a small mammal, and a flying mammal? Lawmakers clearly need more actual work to do ....

Indeed. Can you imagine what would happen if they had full year sessions?! I mean, they only meet every other year for... like... what? 150? 140 days?? The insanity!!

I know! And a state dish. I love the whole Texan pride thing, but... seriously. I don't think we need all that. At least they pretty easy to guess! lol

Well... The jalepenio shot competition is a regular tradition in Texas. lol But WHY do we have so many state animals?? Big animal, small animal, I get - we're a big state, and we kind of have a... big ego... But our state flying mammal or whatever isn't even American! O_o
