Oh, I don't think it matters considering that the UN has already appointed someone...

Mazlan Othman, a Malaysian astrophysicist, is set to be tasked with co-ordinating humanity’s response if and when extraterrestrials make contact.

Aliens who landed on earth and asked: “Take me to your leader” would be directed to Mrs Othman.

Well, go on, peeps. You have your marching orders from the UN!

... *snickers*

And they wonder why people don't take the UN seriously!

Preferably, I'd send Jack O'Neill since he's the best with alien relations. ;D LOL I mean, why not a fictional character for fictional aliens, right?

In the likeness of our current President and messiah, I'd go on vacation. XD

J/K. I'd, through the newly-discovered-by-President-Obama legislative Executive Powers, (He transcends government and the Constitution!!), I'd put in place The Roadmap for America plan. - Considering, you know, Congress wouldn't have time to pass anything.

I'd erase Obama's signature on the Healthcare Bill, force the Senate to pass the Cap & Trade Bill so I could VETO it and thereby ensure it never passes, send troops to the Border, and screw over the EPA.

I would try to fire John McCain & Nancy Pelosi and ultimately fail. BUT everyone would know my desires!

I'd make Glenn Beck my Vice President, whose responsibility it would be to cut spending in half. Rush Limbaugh would become a Supreme Court Justice while Stu & Pat would be my joint Press Secretaries! Ann Coulter I would appoint to my Secretary of State, and George W. Bush would be my Secretary of Defense. XD Paul Ryan would be my Secretary of Treasury, and I'd place RonPaul! in charge of killing the Fed!

Sarah Palin I would make the Secretary of Education just to PO and FREAK OUT the Lefties! XDD

I'd establish a Center for Conservative Traditions headed by Sean Hannity, and Bill O'Reilly would get diddly squat!

Just for giggles, I'd divert all funds from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to build walls along our borders.

Lastly, I'd play that tone that only AlGore can hear...

This concludes today's episode of Lefties' Worst Nightmare!

Wow. I never do these, but this is actually a good question!

I have never ended a friendship with someone because of a political difference of opinion; in fact, the vast majority of y'all on my flist are of opposing political views of all different shapes and sizes, and I like that. Aside from us being people far more than political robots, politically, genuine conservatism demands the acknowledgement and love of Liberty. We are all Free to think and believe whatever it is we want, (so long as it's not destructive- not some shifting ideal of the definition there, either), and I truly love that. What we've been given is a gift that billions never did, never have, and never will experience.

Have people stopped being friends with me over my political views? Yes. Also my religious ones. And I suppose that's okay with me. It saddens me, but not for myself. I learned long ago not to be hurt by it nor offended. If people cannot tolerate my difference of beliefs, then I'm not the person losing something there. If something as simple as political opinion is what, in their minds, drives us apart, then I was obviously far more invested in the friendship than they were. So I don't take splits like that to heart; in my opinion, for something so trivial, we were never really friends in the first place. The only thing I will do at that point is stop to reflect on what was past during our "friendship," and recatagorize it as something less.

I had to consider this as a person who loves the Debate. My conclusion is that truly, if a true friend really did, to satisfy their conscience, need to part ways with me, it would never be done in anger. There would be discussion or explanation, a chance for reconciliation, but never a sudden irrevokable severance of all ties.

After all, there are somethings that would trigger me having to make that decision. - An open belief that Christians/any religion should die/be eliminated, etc (see, destruction), a repeatedly phrased hatred of God or the US, a repeated disrespect to me/my beliefs without ever discussing the issue of disrespect with me, the performance of an abortion/murder...... - It'd have to be really extreme, but the list does exist. I would never just suddenly disappear off your flist because we had some silly debate or you proclaimed Nancy Pelosi as the greatest asset to Congress in our time, though.

I mean, seriously: how shallow would I have to be, as a person and political conservative, to degrade your beliefs and your freedom to believe such things in such a way to assert mine above yours by breaking off contact with you because of them? I would be... so seriously messed up and hypocritcal to be that way.
